General Overview for Allworx

One of the phone systems we work with at Enhanced Telecommunications is Allworx. The Verge IP Phone Series is designed with an Allworx phone system in mind. These IP phones come with a variety of standard features—including a color display and HD audio—that are great for just about any office setting.

• 3 Call Control Function Buttons—transfer, intercom, hold
• 3 Miscellaneous Function Buttons—presence, messages, contacts

Users are also able to customize plenty of function buttons to make their phone system more intuitive to how they take and transfer calls. You can assign functions to the programmable buttons right on the desktop phone (like the Verge 9312 IP Phone). You also have the option to add an expander (Verge 9318Ex) for an additional 18 programmable buttons. In fact, you can have up to three of these units on the Verge 9312, which gives you a total of 66 programmable buttons with a single phone!

Functionality with the Reach Application

Going with an Allworx phone system can also be a good fit when you want to be able to take calls anywhere. Including the Reach Application extends your system’s functionality to smart phones and other devices on cellular networks and WiFi. This gives you and your team the option to make and take calls even when you’re away from the desk.

The Reach Application is particularly useful for individuals who are always “on the go” with meetings or who work remotely. It’s also a good solution for employees who work in distribution or showrooms and need to take calls on a cell phone without using their personal number or data. The same goes for legal and health care professionals who need to be reached outside of normal office hours.

Moving forward with an Allworx phone system can also give you peace of mind if you ever need to utilize the security features for a lost or stolen device. The admin can essentially wipe the licenses and remove all login credentials. This will stop the device from sending or receiving Reach phone calls. It’s nice to know that you can have those precautions in place.
